Talk: How to prepare for Ride London

Our comprehensive cycling talk on Thursday 5th March has been designed by experienced British Cycling coaches to help you successfully conquer Ride London. We will share top tips on how to prepare for the event and proven training methods that work.

No matter what level of rider you are, you will leave our talk inspired and ready for the challenge!
If you are feeling unprepared for the big day then this talk can help settle any nerves and make sure you are fully prepared. We strongly believe a few key areas of proper preparation can have a big impact on your overall enjoyment on the day.
In this talk, suitable for all levels, we will take an in-depth look at:
- Advice on how to maximise your training prior to your ride,
- Understanding what is the best type of training to do in the build up to Ride London,
- Benefits to riding in a group,
- Training tips for conquering the climbs.
You will hear from our head performance Coach Togo who is a British Cycling Coach and multi Ride London participant on his first hand experiences and how to maximise your performance on the day.
There will also be a 15 minute Q&A at the end of the talk.

Togo has an extensive record of transforming cyclists of all levels and helping them train smart. Togo's wealth of experience and qualifications range from an experienced British Cycling Coach, REPS Personal Trainer to endurance athletes and Holistic Nutritionist who looks at a full 360' approach. An ex Wasps rugby player turned cyclist and then road racer who qualified for 3 consecutive years for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships to represent Team GB. Having raced at World Champs level, Togo has a vast amount of knowledge to share. His passion for cycling and helping those new to cycling or simply wanting to improve is infectious. The training philosophy and coaching principles he has instilled at Njinga Cycling has seen thousands of riders of all abilities achieve their SMART goals.
