About the Camp
The Njinga Academy is the ultimate cycle coaching academy for road cyclists. We understand that everyone is at different levels of ability and confidence out on the road and can struggle to get the specific support they need to improve in a safe, social and motivating environment.
We have therefore devised a structured cycle training camp in Mallorca to help development riders (those able to ride a minimum of 12 mph) improve their core skills and build their confidence on the road.
This training camp will include 3.5 days of riding and will focus on the key cycle skills; climbing, group riding and descending in a safe and motivational environment with results guaranteed, no matter what level you are.
Take your riding to the next level with our pre-season training camp in milder conditions in Mallorca next March.
Mallorca Training Camp - key details
Total distance each day will range between 50-80kms in varying terrain with around 1000m of climbing.
Why do a Njinga camp?
Expert Coaching and Support
* Everyone comes on a Njinga camp with their own strengths and weaknesses. We aim to get the most out of each and every one of our riders by working through their challenges with our unique #trainsmart philosophy.
* Whether it’s getting someone to do a 14km climb for the first time, or taking 20 minutes off their PB up Sa Colobra, we are there every step of the way to provide the right amount of coaching and support to push you that little bit further than even you thought you could go.
* We want you to come away from each camp with the pride and statisfaction of knowing that your cycling just got upgraded!
* As holistic nutrition coaches, all our food is cooked from scratch and with years of practise, we know just how to satisfy our hungry riders.
* Performance on the bike is integral to our #fuelsmart strategies to ensure energy levels are maintained while post ride recovery is maximised.
* Down to the last detail with pre and post ride smoothies, all ride snacks and buffet style meals, we ensure your body is fuelled with the right natural foods both on and off the bike.
Family Feel Accommodation
* We don’t stay in hotels where you are just a number, we look for quirky, yet super comfortable villa style accommodation for our training camps.
* We try our best to ensure everyone has access to an en suite bathroom, there is plenty space for bike storage and a great place to gather around for evening drinks and dinner.
* We have been told it’s the community feel, camaraderie and group support, no matter what level of rider, that keeps everyone coming back.
The academy and the fantastic people at Njinga have helped me in so many ways; I've honed my bike skills and am a much more confident rider but I've also found a cycling family! People who I love to cycle with, who push me to be the best I can be and who I am proud to consider to be friends. In the past few weeks I've completed my first two sportives and am now brimming with confidence for the Prudential 100. I'm also looking forward to stage two of the academy, developing my skills set even further and tackling new challenges with my Njinga friends.
I recently completed the level 1 of the Njinga Academy and it has been really helpful in building up my confidence to tackle outdoor and group riding. The skills session such as the importance of the right gear selection for hill climbing and descending hills at speed have built up my technique week on week and the longer group rides on a Saturday gave me a chance to put into practice! I'm loving that I feel much more comfortable now and really enjoy the longer rides. The coaching provided by Njinga is supportive as well as challenging and aims to take you out of your comfort zone. It's also been a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and build my network of cycling buddies :)
The food was incredible, fantastic selection and delicious! The rides were very well organised with good routes. Such a friendly bunch, all the people were amazing. Honestly would not change a thing!
